Fr. Stan Swamy, was booked under UAPA, on charges of having connections with a banned Maoist organization and for allegedly conspiring to cause communal violence in the country and planning an armed militia against the PM Modi’s government.
The allegations make him sound like a dangerous man and a threat to the country but an outpouring number of activists including the UN commission for human rights questioned and criticized the government and its agencies for his death.
